… to pixel pets. I’ve been planning for months now to delete/quit my account on various sites, due to a lack of activeness. Been thinking on how to make the most of it, maybe “sell” it for stuff on the sites I do still frequent.
So a couple days ago, I went to Pokeplushies, now known as Click Critters (since Poke-adopts no longer feature the majority), which has lost most of its charm by now (though not all is bad). And what do you know, I started playing for a bit again. Because I had so much fun talking to people in the ChatBox over there.
My initial plan was to trade/delete/gift/abandon a bunch of adopts and keep the ones most dear to me. Although that’s where the trouble began; too many memories of this and that made me want to hold on to… well, most of them.
Then the fact that I’ve been holding on to the adopts of a dear friend of mine, whom I have not received word from in a very long time. While even now I am assuming that she’ll never return, due to the circumstances of her leaving, I’ve always held on to her adopts, rather than making a few sweet deals that, at the time, would have easily left me at 100% of the collection. But now… I want to quit, reduce my adopts to a small, nostalgic number… and I’d feel bad if the adopts continue to rot away on my page when there’s people who need them, especially with the numbers of users exploding exponentially.

Now there’s a couple wonderful people there, oldies and newbies alike, but in the end, most of the people I valued (and came to the site for) are gone, and the stuff that’s changed to the negative far outweighs my desire to stay. For the sake of not being flamebait, I won’t go into specifics. The site belongs to Cyde and Steen and they have every right to turn it from the casual click community into something more commercial. It’s a nice thing to have on the side, and they did well.
And people who want to chat with me still do have other means of finding me (like here). So I’ve been looking around for who to leave the adopts with, along with seeing to fulfill some DO WANT by dropping stuff I’d once never have had let go off (due to being an OCD completionist).
If you’re on PP (or CC respectively), please don’t go ahead and say “Can I have your [insert rare adopt name here], since you’re going?” It’s that sort of thing that has me tending to not overly publicize my leaving. I don’t blame people for wanting to take the chance, but some adopts have already been arranged for anyways.

If you really have to bug me about adopts, I demand “compensation” in form of IMVU credits or Exotic credits for unicreatures. 
That way ridding myself of them isn’t a complete loss.
